Chennai Open Scrabble Championship 2016

The recently held Chennai scrabble open championship proved to be a fantastically organised event thanks to a super venue SA engineering college and the Madras Scrabble Foundation:

With Ashok in town the tournament went as smoothly as you could expect:

The games were fun and it proved competitive till the very end:

In the end Mr. Ramachandran prevailed with a well deserved 7 game win streak and as you can see the trophies were fabulous:

However this was more than just us playing scrabble. Big congratulations to the Madras Scrabble Foundation for inviting 280 kids to compete across many divisions. While you may instantly recognise Solai Aditya winner of Division B at the Nationals there are many more stars in the making:

All in all a terrific tournament with some great memories.
